Stanley Whitney (born 1946) is an American artist who primarily works in abstract painting and printmaking. Biography. Stanley Whitney was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania on November 11, 1946. The third of four children, his father was a real estate agent and accountant, and his mother worked for the board of education in nearby Philadelphia.
