Rob Hedden is an American screenwriter and film director. Early life. Hedden was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Laguna Beach. While a student at Laguna Beach High School, he began making short films. Hedden enrolled at Orange Coast College, studying film and music, subsequently transferring to the Brooks Institute to study film. Career.
