Graduating from karting to junior formulae in 2011, Gasly won his first championship at the 2013 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. He then won the 2016 GP2 Series with Prema Racing, and finished as runner-up in the 2017 Super Formula Championship with Team Mugen.
