Damián Emiliano "Dibu" Martínez Romero (born 2 September 1992) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Aston Villa and the Argentina national team. Known as a specialist in saving penalty kicks, Martínez is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Martínez trained at Independiente's youth ranks before moving to Premier League club Arsenal in 2010.
