Dubrovnik (Croatian: [dǔbroːʋniːk] , UK: dyuu-BROV-nik, US: doo-; see notes on naming), historically known as Ragusa (Italian: [raˈɡuːza] ), is a city in southern Dalmatia, Croatia, by the Adriatic Sea. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, a seaport and the centre of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Its total population is 41,562 (2021 census).
