He is best known for his role as Jax Teller in the FX drama series Sons of Anarchy (2008–2014), for which he was twice nominated for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor. Hunnam has been featured as the lead in numerous films, including Green Street (2005) , Nicholas Nickleby (2002), Pacific Rim (2013), Crimson Peak (2015), Triple Frontier (2019), and The Gentlemen (2019). He has also portrayed Percy Fawcett in The Lost City of Z (2016) and Arthur Pendragon in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017).
