Future Firefighter Podcast Series by Women in the Fire Service
Women in the Fire Service UKIn our first-ever podcast series, Women in the Fire Service UK (WFS) brings you highlights from our Future Firefighter online event programme, which ran between 15 June-20 July 2021. We advised people of different genders from underrepresented groups, considering careers in the fire service.
In these episodes, you’ll hear from firefighters and other fire service personnel from across the UK. They discuss what it means to be a firefighter, how to be better prepared for selection tests, and tips on gaining confidence to apply for the role of a firefighter. They also answer some burning questions about what life as a firefighter is really like.
We also explore what the Fire and Rescue Service does, different careers and roles in the Service, work-life balance, inclusion and maternity.
Be inspired! Be a Future Firefighter.
