Weekend Listen: Power On Talks Touchscreen MacBook + iPhone Duo “Crackgate”

2026-10-31

Apple has finally introduced a touch-screen MacBook Pro after two decades of resisting the idea. In this episode of Power On, Mark Gurman and Bloomberg Tech's Chris Welch break down the new high-end laptops, including their OLED displays, lighter designs, redesigned touch interface and steep prices. They also discuss Apple’s new OLED iPad mini, M6 iMac and other Mac updates, along with what’s coming next for the lineup. Plus, Mark and Chris share their experiences with the iPhone Duo after a week of use, examine reports of cracked displays and explain why Apple’s limited supply has made getting a replacement so difficult.
