His teachers include Sheikh Abdullah Ibn Hassan Al Echeikh, Abdu Daher Mohamed Abu Samh and Sheikh Mohamed Abdurrazik Hamza.

The Sheikh graduated from the Saudi Scientific Institute in 1360 Hijrah. Thereafter, he was appointed as the Imam of Masjid al Haram in 1367 Hijrah. However, his health prevented him from pursuing the position and he requested to be exempted from it.
Abdullah Khayat’s recitations were widely popular and were broadcasted in the official TV channels and radio stations of Saudi Arabia.
Besides being a Qari, the Sheikh was a member of the Master Theologians Instance. His literary works have made a beneficial contribution to the intellectual Islamic movement.
The Sheikh passed away in 1415 Hijrah.
